Research has shown that you need to use a word around 27 times before it becomes part of your personal vocabulary.  Speaking regularly helps enormously, as does reading and hearing words in conversations either in real life or on television or radio.
 

Did you know?

'Soccer' or 'football'?
In the UK you can say either 'soccer' or 'football', because they are two different names for the same game.  However, ìn the USA 'soccer' often refers to European style football.  The word 'Football' in US English generally refers to American football.
